Returning Goods
Returned items are to be sent prepaid & insured. Send to the return address on the packing slip.
Shipping & Insurance charges are non-refundable and we cannot & will not accept COD packages.
The purchaser is responsible for all postage & insurance costs incurred in returning goods.
During the time that you are in possession of the Opal Product,
it is solely your responsibility to protect it from theft, loss or damage.
Returned goods must be in their original condition & packaging for refund.
We will not accept back for refund any Cut Stones, Opal Rough that have been worked or altered in any way.
Put a copy of your original order in an envelope. Write "Original Order being Returned" on the envelope
and attach it to the outside of the parcel so that customs don't have to open the parcel to confirm.
In the customs, declaration writes:
Returned item/s in transit to Opal network PO Box 8737 GCMC 9726 QLD Australia. Not for sale or commercial use
Return only. Customs, please contact Opal Network on Phone or Fax 07 55620955 for verification.
Insurance
All purchases should be insured prior to shipping, just in case the item goes missing or gets damaged in the post.
If an item is sent uninsured at a customers request & it goes missing or gets damaged after it has entered the postal system,
it means the customer has been deemed to carry the insurance risk themselves and therefore have no right to request
or ask for a refund.
Postal Insurance Rates are:
The insurance fee is US$7.50 for the first $100.00 or part thereof, plus US$3.50 for every additional US$100 (or part thereof)
up to aprox US$4000.00.
For purchases AU$2,000.00 and over a Export Clearance Number (ECN) will have to be acquired,
For purchases over AU$5,000.00 [roughly US$3000] private insurance cover will have to be arranged
and these details and costs will be emailed to you for your approval.
Taxes & Duties
Some countries will charge additional tariffs, duties, customs charges or taxes.
These will be the responsibility of the recipient for payment as they arrive in that country.
Credit Cards
We can accept the following Credit Cards:
Visa, MasterCard, BankCard, with the Pay Pal option Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Credit Card holders name and address MUST be the same as the shipping name and address.
Any item sold by us must be shipped to the billing address of the credit card holder,
this is to protect us as well as you, just in case you have had your card stolen or lost it,
also we will not send anything to a Post Office Box address, again this is to protect us and the credit card holder.
If shipment must be made to another address, please E-Mail us for arrangements.
All credit card transactions will be verified prior to delivery.
Credit:
We do not run credit accounts, businesses that do have to increase their prices to cover themselves
for when someone dishonest cheats them.
We lost US$60,000 through giving credit to just one person who had been dealing with us for years in the U.S.A.
Export License
Export License for goods that the cost is AUD$2000.00 or over and that are being exported out of Australia,
the Customs Dept requires us (you) to have a Export Clearance Number (ECN).
The cost of this Export Clearance Number (ECN) plus the Custom Brokers Fee
are not included in the normal shipping or insurance charges,
they are additional charges to be paid along with the shipping & insurance costs.
For any opal item or product that is in excess of AUD$5000.00, (roughly US$3000.00) it must have a
Private Insurance Policy taken out on it, please email us for the cost on that,
when you are ready to Order a Item, as we will need to know the item/s No: and the exact cost of the item or items involved.
Australian G.S.T.
For Purchases within Australia, 10% of the Total Purchase Cost will be added on for the G.S.T.
Unclaimed Goods
Items that are returned back to us in the post as "unclaimed" will be held here for a period of sixty days only. (60
During that period, we will attempt to contact you:
We will resend the items for additional shipping charges, to be paid for prior to postage.
If you fail to respond to our contact/s within the 60-day period, no refund will be given.
No Excuses will be accepted, sorry.

The information that you provide on our forms is for our use only, and is kept strictly confidential.
It will not be distributed or sold to any other third party.
